At UGL, in partnership with CPB Contractors, we're delivering some of the nation's most significant mission-critical projects and are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our growing Data Centre business. This integrated ACS Group delivery model enables greater collaboration, improved programme certainty, reduced project risk and stronger outcomes for our clients.

The Opportunity

As Commissioning Manager, you will lead all commissioning activities across major data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects, from design review and commissioning planning through to integrated systems testing, operational readiness and client handover.

Working closely with engineering, construction and project leadership teams, consultants, subcontractors and client stakeholders, you will ensure critical systems are commissioned safely, compliantly and efficiently, delivering operationally ready facilities that meet the highest performance and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of project commissioning strategies, plans and methodologies.
• Oversee commissioning delivery across mechanical, electrical, controls and integrated building systems.
• Drive commissioning readiness reviews, integrated systems testing (IST) and operational readiness programmes.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure commissioning requirements are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and operations teams to achieve commissioning milestones and project objectives.
• Manage commissioning scope, programme, technical risk and change control processes.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contractual requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, collaboration and continuous improvement across commissioning teams.

About You / Requirements

• A degree qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive commissioning experience on data centres, mission-critical facilities or other complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning processes across mechanical, electrical, controls and integrated systems.
• Experience working within Design & Construct project delivery environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary commissioning teams and specialist contractors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Experience delivering integrated systems testing and operational readiness programmes.
