Commercial Manager

WesTrac is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our Finance and Commercial Team based at our Tomago Head Office supporting the GM Operations and GM Customer Solutions teams. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) this position is focused on providing strategic financial and commercial advice, driving execution of our strategy through management processes while ensuring appropriate corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the ELT and senior leaders to develop and execute strategy by providing financial and commercial support
• Develop and monitor the key financial objectives and metrics in line with the agreed strategy through the MBR (Management Business review) process and various project management forums.
• Generate accurate forecasts, budgets and 5 year financial plans and provide commentary on variances from plan with actions.
• Work collaboratively with senior leaders to assess, present and execute key business cases that drive financial outcomes including property
• Ensure appropriate levels of financial governance and controls are in place
• Work with key business process owners to continuously improve the way we work.
• Link financial performance to business strategy and operational outcomes
• Analyse financial and operational data to provide actionable insights and recommendations

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or commerce (CPA or CA)
• Proven ability to provide commercial business partnering in complex environments
• Outstanding influencing and engagement skills
• Ability to analyse data and provided detailed reports and recommendations
• Proven track record of developing, presenting and executing strategic project business cases to senior management including financial modelling and financial assessment techniques.
• High level of attention to detail
• Process improvement experience including AI and automation
• Ability to anlayse financial data, build models and generate insights for decision making
• Proficient with MS office suite and preferably with experience in key business systems including SAP and Oracle
