Our client, based in Wangara, is a leading mining, infrastructure and natural resources company that designs and manufactures innovative drill rigs, rock excavation and construction equipment. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Class, to join their workshop team on a casual basis (initially for 3 months although there may be potential for permanency in the future.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high-quality downhole drilling tools to the mining industry. Working primarily with Mazak CNC machinery, you will be involved in the high-volume production of hammers, drill bits and other mining components in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Job Duties:
- Operate Mazak CNC machines to manufacture downhole drilling tools
- Perform machine adjustments and offset changes as required
- Monitor machining processes to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products
- Change tooling and assist with machine setup activities
To Be Successful You Will Need the Following:
- Experience in operating CNC machines (Mazak machinery highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality control processes
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
Hours & Pay:
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday; 6am - 2:00pm with possibility of overtime. Your pay rate will be a flat rate between $47 - $50 per hour + super
