About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent site water management, you will be responsible for providing engineering support across civil construction and mine infrastructure projects. You will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. At MRM, we are 'Territory first' and prioritize applications from the Northern Territory or those ready to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering activities on site.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and statutory requirements.
  • Review and interpret drawings, technical documentation, and construction methodologies.
  • Coordinate contractors and site personnel to achieve project milestones.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.

About You

  • Bachelor7s degree in civil engineering.
  • Relevant experience in mining, civil construction, or heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Experience managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering/project management software.
  • Current Australian drivers licence.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

Desirable

  • Experience working on remote mining sites.
  • Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, and mine infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
