Civil Fixed Plant Operator

Our Opportunity

Location: Cloudbreak - located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples. 

**Roster:**8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra 

Cloudbreak is seeking a motivated and safety focused Civil Operator to join the team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality civil works across the OPF, ensuring equipment is operated efficiently and plant areas are maintained to a high standard. Working within a dynamic operations environment, you will contribute to safe production outcomes, uphold strong housekeeping practices and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Fortescue’s Values.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate civil equipment across OPF including skid steers, excavators
• Operate loaders, tippers, water carts and vacuum trucks
• Execute daily civil works in line with operational plans
• Conduct pre-starts and post-use inspections on all equipment
• Report defects and ensure equipment is maintained to standard
• Maintain high housekeeping and plant hygiene standards
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Contribute to team culture and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience operating civil equipment in mining or similar environments
• Strong understanding of earthworks and excavation processes
• Proven commitment to safety and site compliance requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Basic SAP or work management system knowledge (desirable)
