About the Role

The Opportunity: Join the Thiess team and contribute to the efficient operation, maintenance, and servicing of the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) at our Lake Vermont Mine near Dysart.

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for various roles, including a CHPP Electrical Operator/ Maintainer & a CHPP Maintenance Fitter/ Lubrication Specialist. These roles offer excellent career development opportunities, comprehensive training, and a competitive remuneration package.

Roster: 7/7 | Location: Dysart, QLD| Employment Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

CHPP Electrical Operator/Maintainer:

  • Operate and maintain all areas of the CHPP, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

CHPP Maintenance Fitter / Lubrication Specialist:

  • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of fixed plant equipment grease lubrication systems and component oils within the CHPP.
  • General maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts.

ABOUT YOU (Current Standard 11 required for all roles) :

CHPP Electrical Operator/Maintainer:

  • Previous or current experience in a CHPP environment.
  • Current Queensland Electrical fitter Mechanic License.
  • Current LVR/CPR Competency.
  • Previous experience working in a CHPP Environment.
  • High Voltage Switching Competency.
  • Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas Competency.
  • Instrumentation Competencies.
  • PLC Experience.
  • High Risk EWP Ticket.

CHPP Maintenance Fitter/ Lubrication Specialist:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent.
  • Proven experience maintaining fixed plant equipment.
  • High commitment to safety and maintenance practices.
