Company Description:Anglo American Australia In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in manganese, as well as copper exploration projects under way in North West Queensland. Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. Job Description:As the CHPP Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to use your trade background and leadership skills to lead and develop the people, processes, and systems to carry out maintenance activities within the CHPP safely, efficiently, and effectively.You will work closely with the broader CHPP team, playing a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability and availability by ensuring that work is executed as planned and that emergent work is prioritised to maintain operational capabilities, in an efficient and effective manner.Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for:Ensuring the reliability and availability of equipment through scheduled maintenance workExecuting plans to ensure work is prioritised to maintain operational capabilitiesWorking independently with limited directionEngaging and influencing peers/external providersDelivering high quality work with tight timeframes, through self-motivation and drive Qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, or a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.Experience in CHPP or Processing Plant Operations (or similar)Current S123 and G2Knowledge of Coal Mining Safety and Health Act & legislation and its application in the workplaceAcquired computer software skills including Microsoft Suite (project, excel, word, power point etc) and Maintenance Management Systems (SAP or similar )Ability to multi-task and coordinate various projectsGood interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationshipsStrong safety focus with a demonstrated ability to promote and encourage safetyGeneral interest in being a team-oriented player, who will seek to raise the skill level of colleaguesAttention to detail and ability to follow processAbility to accept new ideas and embrace change Additional information:Full-time permanent position based at Capcoal Mine, Middlemount7 days on, 7 days off rotating day and night shift rostered roleResidential, FIFO (company funded), & DIDO optionsSubsidised accommodation and company funded camp options providedAttractive Salary + 12% SuperannuationDiscounted Gym membershipEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) available for employeesWhat we offer When you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
