CHPP Maintenance Planner

About the Company

Anglo American Australia In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland. Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to assist the CHPP team with developing mechanical maintenance strategies, arranging weekly down days and managing secondary work orders. With extensive interactions across various departments, you will require solid written and verbal communication skills, enjoy solving maintenance problems and be an effective team player.To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a capable, friendly and professional team to achieve business objectives. You will also enjoy the challenge of maintaining a CHPP, implementing preventative maintenance and managing small projects.This is your opportunity to join a team of passionate and supportive industry leading experts contributing to a positive culture of continuous improvement. You will possess at least three (3) years’ experience in a mechanical planning function. SAP experience is highly desirable.

About You / Requirements

• Mechanical trade qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Maintenance Management
• Experience in large open cut mining operation, maintenance of fixed plant
• Previous planning experience
• Well-developed understanding of fixed plant maintenance strategies
• Knowledge in Microsoft Project, SAP, and downtime reporting (desirable)
