Dawson Mine is rich in history, it was the first mine in Australia to export coal to Japan in 1961 and was the first mine to introduce draglines into its operation in 1963 – join the legacy today! Job Description:Dawson Mine is excited to announce a rare opportunity for a Commercial Officer to join the CHPP team at Dawson Mine on a full-time, permanent basis with Anglo American.

Reporting to the CHPP Manager, you will assist in maintaining cost control planning, raising of Request for Contracts and Purchase Orders (VAFs), and any other change management documentation.  You will also be liaising with Commercial teams to ensure invoice payment to vendors/suppliers is timely and accurate and adheres to the respective contract arrangements.The key accountabilities are, but not limited to:Compiling and submitting overtime dataSupporting the CHPP team with training requirementsManage day 2 onboarding for all CHPP inducteesSupport contract holders through all stages of the commercial contracting process. Provide administrative support to CHPP Manager and CHPP superintendents in day-to-day activities (ie LEAN board updates, VFL tracking, general administrative tasks etc) Track performance and status for all contracts and provide a monthly report on the status of all contracts to key stakeholders. Provide strategic advice and services to the workforce in regards to contracting and procurement processes.  Identify and syndicate opportunities to increase the efficiency or effectiveness of CHPP commercial services workMonitoring of contractor cash-flows, providing accurate reports of progress, variance to plan, root causes and remedial actions.   Qualifications:Ideally, the successful applicant will have:Knowledge of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation is desirable.Integrated ERP system experience (SAP).Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word and powerpoint).Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, and be proactive in a complex environment with strict timelines.Experience dealing with commercial finance projects within a large organization.Desired, not mandatory - Cert IV in Trainer & Assessing or minimum the following 2 units, TAEASS412 Assess Competence and TAEDEL311 Provide Work Skill Instruction Additional information:Permanent, full-time position at Dawson Mine, Moura QLDMonday to Friday site role with 9-day fortnight availableCompetitive Salary + 12% SuperannuationAnnual bonus incentive programResidential & DIDO optionsCamp accommodationWhat we OfferWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
