Chief Operating Officer

Our client, a successful private services company, provides Drill and Blast services to the Mining; Quarrying; and Construction industries in Australia. With extensive mining opportunities within Australia and SE Asia, they are seeking to appoint a Chief Operations Officer to drive their ongoing success.

Reporting to the Managing Director/CEO, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Operational Leadership of all Projects and Regional centres
• Safety & Compliance for the various projects and more broadly, the business, ensuring safety standards are maintained across the group
• Financial Performance of the various projects, ensuring margins are maintained and that appropriate budgeting is implemented in conjunction with the financial team and the various project managers
• Leadership & Culture to ensure the highest possible standards are adopted across the group
• Internal Stakeholder Management across the group, ensuring shareholder value is recognised
• Customer Relations and Development to maintain both existing clients and assist in advancing the companies growth ambitions.

Ideally the role will be Brisbane based, although opportunity does exist for the suitable candidate to be based in Darwin or Perth. An attractive salary will be negotiated.
