The Opportunity

CSI Mining Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance and Strategy team at Kwinana Workshop.

In this role, you will be responsible for short-term maintenance planning and scheduling for fixed plant equipment and infrastructure, ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational priorities.

As the Maintenance Planner, you will coordinate maintenance planning and scheduling for mechanical and electrical teams, supporting both preventative and emergent maintenance activities. You will play a key role in ensuring labour, materials, specialist services, and plant access are available to support successful maintenance execution

This role is a 12-month fixed-term position on a Monday to Friday work schedule.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule short-term maintenance activities for site fixed plant equipment and infrastructure.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant access, and specialist services for planned maintenance work.
• Order parts through warehouse channels or direct purchasing as required.
• Work closely with procurement and supply teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, spares, equipment, and labour hire.
• Ensure safety is embedded into all planned and scheduled maintenance work orders.
• Maintain equipment life cycle history in maintenance systems.
• Contribute to improvements in systems, processes, and procedures to enhance equipment performance and sustainability.
• Assist with preparation of operating and capital budgets.
• Produce weekly maintenance KPI performance graphs
• Chair weekly planning and scheduling meetings and document outcomes.

About youOur ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the mining industry. You will bring strong maintenance planning experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities in a dynamic environment.

You will ideally have:

• A relevant Trade Certificate.
• Extensive experience in shutdown and/or maintenance planning Maintenance.
• Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and budgeting maintenance activities.
• Experience in production activities on a mineral processing plant or similar Maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of maintenance planning philosophies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• A proactive approach and outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to plan multiple activities for remote areas with an understanding of logistical challenges.
