We’re currently partnering with a leading global mining organisation who are looking for three Category Management Specialists to join their Perth-based Supply Chain team on an initial 6-month contract basis.

These are hands-on roles for commercially minded procurement professionals who are confident managing contracts, engaging stakeholders and taking ownership of the end-to-end procurement process.

The opportunities
There are three positions available across:

• Projects – Civils & Construction
• Operations – Maintenance
• Operations – Shutdowns, Contract Labour & Facilities Management

You’ll work alongside Senior Category Specialists and key stakeholders across the business, supporting everything from tendering and sourcing through to contract development, negotiation and ongoing stakeholder management.

What you’ll be doing

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and scopes of work
• Supporting end-to-end tender and procurement processes
• Working closely with operational, project and site-based stakeholders
• Managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams
• Providing commercial and category management support
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver value
• Picking up existing workstreams and running with them independently.

What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally bring strong experience across procurement, category management and contract management, with particular strength in contract drafting and stakeholder engagement.

Mining experience would be highly regarded, but it isn’t essential. We’re also interested in candidates from construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, engineering or other asset-intensive environments.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can step into a busy environment, quickly understand what needs to be done and get on with it.
