About the Role

The Opportunity

Working closely with operational, maintenance, finance, and procurement stakeholders, you will play a critical role in developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering value through effective procurement and contract management practices.

Reporting to the Manager Procurement - Mining Equipment, you will:

• Develop and implement category strategies for mining equipment across the business.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
• Manage key supplier agreements, including contract performance, KPI reporting, quarterly business reviews, and dispute resolution.
• Conduct market analysis and maintain category intelligence to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with operational requirements.
• Analyse spend data and maintain category documentation, supplier profiles, and procurement records.
• Support cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Present category performance insights and sourcing recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Provide procurement guidance and support to internal customers across the business.

About You / Requirements

You are a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys building strong supplier partnerships and delivering tangible business outcomes. You bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical capability, and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful, you will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic procurement, category management, or sourcing.
• Experience working within mining, heavy industry, engineering, or asset-intensive environments.
• Strong understanding of mining equipment markets and supplier networks.
• Demonstrated negotiation and contract management experience.
• Proven ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic sourcing decisions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline as noted above.
