Job Description:As the Capital & Projects Superintendent, you will lead major improvement initiatives and deliver capital projects that shape Aquila Mine’s long‑term performance. You will provide structure and governance across project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will also oversee annual maintenance and operational outcomes for all surface plant and infrastructure, including buildings, roadways, and OEM‑supported equipment, ensuring site-wide reliability and compliance. Your leadership will drive safety, accountability, innovation, and a high‑performance culture across the surface infrastructure team.Key accountabilities are:Champion a strong safety culture through consistent safe behaviours, regular inspections, audits, and immediate action on hazards.Ensure all incidents are reported, investigated, and closed out to a high standard, with critical controls embedded in daily work.Deliver capital projects end‑to‑end, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality requirements.Manage the full capital project portfolio, including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacement, and improvement initiatives.Monitor capital and operational budgets, identify variances early, and implement corrective actions.Oversee all surface infrastructure at Aquila Mine, including maintenance of buildings, roadways, surface plant, and OEM‑supported equipment.Ensure surface plant and equipment remain reliable, compliant, safe, and cost‑efficient, while meeting statutory and site requirements.Manage contractor onboarding, performance, compliance, and safe execution of work.Work closely with operations, engineering, commercial, finance, and safety teams to align project and maintenance priorities with business needs.Support tendering, evaluation, and procurement of vendors and service providers.Maintain accurate documentation across project progress, financial tracking, maintenance activities, and risk management.Provide clear, timely communication and updates to leadership and stakeholders.Foster a high‑performing, respectful team culture with ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition.Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency, maintenance performance, and operational outcomes.Drive innovation by pursuing new technologies, system enhancements, and improvements to safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
