About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Cable Bolt Operators to join our team at Cowal Gold Mine, located near West Wyalong, NSW. This is an outstanding opportunity to secure a long-term 5-year contract working across both development and production mining environments. If you have proven DS421 cable bolting experience and are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with excellent camp facilities and a balanced roster, we'd like to hear from you. Only candidates with demonstrated DS421 Cable Bolter experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Installation of cable bolts in underground development and production areas
- Safe and efficient operation of a Sandvik DS421 Cable Bolter
- Maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Working collaboratively with underground mining crews
- Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting equipment issues
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating a Sandvik DS421 Cable Bolter
- Underground hard rock mining experience
- Experience in both development and production environments
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
