Join a major Australian resources project where your technical expertise will directly influence the delivery of a large-scale mining development. We're looking for an experienced Mechanical & Piping Designer who enjoys solving engineering challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and producing practical, high-quality design solutions from concept through to construction.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll take ownership of mechanical and piping design activities across the project lifecycle, transforming engineering concepts into accurate and buildable designs. Working closely with engineers, project teams and stakeholders, you'll help deliver efficient, safe and compliant solutions while supporting successful project outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing high-quality 3D models and detailed design documentation.
- Developing practical layout solutions for complex processing plant infrastructure.
- Collaborating with engineering disciplines to resolve design clashes and improve constructability.
- Supporting procurement activities through technical documentation and design input.
- Reviewing designs to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with project requirements.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers where required.
- Participating in design reviews and contributing ideas that improve project delivery.
- Assisting with site queries and providing design support during construction when needed.
About You
You'll be an experienced Mechanical or Piping Designer who thrives in technically challenging project environments and enjoys working within collaborative engineering teams.
You'll also bring:
- Extensive experience delivering mechanical and piping design for large industrial or mining projects.
- Strong capability using Smart3D for intelligent piping design and modelling.
- Experience producing and reviewing piping isometrics.
- A solid understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination within 3D environments.
- The ability to interpret engineering documentation and translate concepts into practical design solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with engineers, clients and project stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
