Boilermaker

The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our HME team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (days & nights), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Fabrication, this role is responsible for the general fabrication and boilermaker repairs on Graders, Dump Trucks, Dozers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, and Drills.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Maintaining a safe and clean workplace
• GET Management
• Inspecting and repair of Loader and Shovel/Backhoe buckets
• Refurbishment of Dump Truck trays
• Participating in HME safety meetings
• Maintaining all mobile plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Completing all preventative maintenance scheduled checks and adjustments of equipment in Field and Workshop environments

Successful applicant will have:

• Current WA HR drivers’ licence is essential
• Current HRWL containing LF, WP, DG, Working at Heights & Confined Space ticket
• Good understanding of Heavy Mobile Equipment Boilermaking and Fabrication
• Experience with multiple welding processes, Innershield welding (232,233,XLR-8), Flux cored wires (3XP-H4, 71-EH, 81ni etc.) and air-arc gouging is A MUST.
• Previous mining/resources industry (Heavy mobile equipment) experience
• Engineering tradesperson qualification – Fabrication (Boilermaker/Welder).
• Ability to Pass 3G and 4G Weld tests in MMAW, FCAW & GMAW
