About the Role
We are seeking experienced Blast & Paint Supervisorsto support current and upcoming shutdown, maintenance and project works across Australia’s largest mine sites. In this casual FIFO role, you’ll access consistent work across 90+ client sites, competitive rates and genuine long-term career opportunities within a well-established national contractor.
As a Blast & Paint Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- Supervising works to ensure all is completed to the client and company specifications
- Leading a team of trade and non-trade personnel to accomplish key deliverables
- Liaising with Linkforce clients and site-based personnel
- Planning and scheduling work and labour requirements
- Monitoring progress against the work schedule
- Record and monitor team members performance, provide mentorship and address issues where necessary
- Incident investigation and reporting
- Supervise and conduct visual inspections of work to ensure it meets required standards and client specifications (QA/QC).
- Ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and company HSEQ standards and procedures
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience as Leading Hand or Supervisor
- Certificate 3 in surface preparation and finishing
- Coatings inspector Nace level 1 – (Desirable but not mandatory)
- Familiar with abrasive blasting and painting QA/QC process.
- Schedule 26 training
- BHP & Rio inductions are desirable but not essential.
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Construction White Card
- A National Police Check
