Our Opportunity

• Work Location: Cloudbreak – Fortescue's Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
• Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R – FIFO ex Perth

Join Fortescue's Autonomous Mining Systems team at Cloudbreak, maintaining and supporting cutting-edge autonomous haulage technology. Working alongside a high-performing team, you'll diagnose, install and optimise autonomous systems that keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain autonomous haulage and mining technology systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, network and control faults.
• Install, configure and commission autonomous hardware.
• Complete workshop and in-pit maintenance activities.
• Calibrate GPS, perception and positioning systems.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
• Promote Fortescue's safety culture and Values in Action.

Qualifications and Experience

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Auto Electrical, HV or Electronics.
• Mining maintenance experience on heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Experience with Caterpillar MineStar or autonomous systems preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, networking or control systems.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.
