Job Description

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Auto Electricians for multiple roles based at the Cape Preston Sino Iron Project on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mining equipment
  • Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on electrical systems and components
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and breakdown support to minimise downtime
  • Work on large-scale mining fleet including Liebherr 9800 excavators, Hitachi EH400AC-3, and MT4400 Bucyrus haul trucks
  • Complete inspections, testing, and reporting in line with site and safety requirements
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site safety standards and procedures

Role Details:

  • 2:1 FIFO roster
  • Cape Preston – Sino Iron Project (Pilbara, WA)
  • $3,000 sign-on bonus
  • Additional $3 per hour site allowance on top of base rate

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified Auto Electrician
  • Proven experience on heavy mining equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Willingness to be clean shaven for mask fit requirements (required when working in the pit)
