About the Role

Take the next step in your mining career with Redpath Australia. We’re seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team at Olympic Dam, working on a wide range of underground mobile equipment in a supportive and safety‑driven environment. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering excellent training, job security, and an even-time roster to balance work and life. As an Auto Electrician at Olympic Dam, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the electrical systems on a modern fleet of underground mining equipment including:

• Sandvik Jumbos
• Cable Bolters
• Loaders and Trucks
• Normet Spray Rigs, Agi Trucks and Charge-Up Rigs
• Light vehicles and ancillary equipment Your work will include workshop, underground service bay, field service and breakdown tasks.

Roster & Conditions

• 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotating day and night shifts
• 12-hour shifts
• FIFO from all capital cities

Equipment & Operations

Underground mobile equipment includes Sandvik Jumbos, Cable Bolters, Loaders and Trucks, Normet Spray Rigs, Agi Trucks and Charge-Up Rigs, Light vehicles and ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and electronic components on underground mobile equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacements as required.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Redpath policies and procedures.
• Identify and actively manage potential risks.

About You / Requirements

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
• Experience working with heavy mobile mining equipment (underground preferred but not essential)
• Air conditioning licence (preferred)
• Valid manual driver’s licence
• A positive, proactive attitude aligned with Redpath’s motto: “Consider it done — safely.”
