About the Role
IntroductionExperienced HV Auto Electrician skilled in maintaining diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on heavy mobile mining equipment including haul trucks excavators loaders and drills. Experienced in fault finding inspections and component replacement to minimise downtime and support safe efficient mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems of HME, including haul trucks, excavators, and other heavy mining equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of HME electrical systems to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
- Component Replacement: Replace faulty electrical components and systems, ensuring all replacements meet OEM standards.
- Upgrades and Modifications: Install electrical upgrades and modifications as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including parts used and time taken.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to FMG's safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is conducted in a safe manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other maintenance and operational team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent.
- HV License: High Voltage Switching and Access qualifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working on HME in a mining environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnostics and repair of electrical systems on heavy vehicles.
- Safety Focused: Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety protocols.
