About the Role

Looking for a workshop-based role with great pay, no night shift, and a roster that gives you half the year off? We’re seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our Blackwater workshop team, supporting a large fleet of mining equipment in a clean, organised, and well-established maintenance environment. Located just minutes from the centre of Blackwater, this permanent opportunity offers stability, strong earning potential, and the chance to work with a team that values quality workmanship and safety.

The Role

As part of the workshop maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of heavy mining equipment to ensure maximum reliability and fleet performance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults on mining equipment
• Completing planned servicing and preventative maintenance
• Carrying out inspections, testing, and diagnostics
• Supporting breakdown repairs and component replacements
• Ensuring repairs are completed safely and within required timeframes
• Identifying maintenance improvements and reliability initiatives
• Working collaboratively within a skilled maintenance team

About You / Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Auto Electrical
• Post-trade experience on mining or heavy earthmoving equipment
• Valid air-conditioning ticket
• Current Queensland driver’s licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safe work practices
