Roster: Monday to Friday
The Asset Health Analyst (AHA) leads the discovery of defects and degradation across the HME fleet, converting multi-source condition data into clear, actionable maintenance decisions and concise communication for maintenance teams.
This role enables timely and effective maintenance intervention by developing and systemising repeatable analytics, failure signatures, and insights that support scalable, automated detection enabling the delivery of condition-based maintenance (CBM) strategies, improving reliability, cost, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse condition monitoring data (telemetry, event logs, fluid analysis, etc.) to identify abnormal patterns, trends and early failure indicators.
- Perform targeted analysis using tools such as Historians, SQL and Python, and develop fit-for-purpose visualisations (e.g. Power BI).
- Interpret data in the context of equipment systems and known failure modes to determine root causes and risk.
- Translate insights into clear, prioritised and actionable maintenance recommendations aligned with operational constraints.
- Raise high-quality SAP PM notifications with accurate coding, scope and functional location.
- Develop and maintain standardised, repeatable analytics, thresholds and failure signatures.
- Embed detection logic into dashboards, alerts and workflows to enable scalable, automated condition monitoring.
- Deliver clear visualisations, reporting and data storytelling to support fast, confident decision-making.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure insights are understood, trusted and acted upon.
- Contribute to defect elimination and continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, supporting RCA and sharing learnings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification or tertiary Engineering degree (Mechanical or similar) is essential.
- Experience in asset health, reliability or condition monitoring within mining, heavy industry or similar environments (HME preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to identify defects from condition monitoring data and translate insights into actionable maintenance outcomes.
- Practical experience working within maintenance work management systems, including SAP PM and planning cycles.
- Proficiency in digital and data tools such as SAP, Power BI, OSI PI, SQL and/or Python, including data extraction and analysis of large datasets.
- Experience developing dashboards and visualisations to support operational decision-making.
- Strong understanding of equipment systems (e.g. engines, hydraulics, braking) and associated failure modes.
- Knowledge of reliability principles, maintenance strategies and performance metrics (e.g. availability, MTBF), including defect elimination methodologies (e.g. RCA, 5 Whys).
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.
- Desirable: experience with advanced analytics or machine learning, fluid analysis, and time-series data concepts in condition monitoring.
