Asphalt Roller Operator

Unite Resourcing is currently seeking 3 x experienced Asphalt Roller Operators / Asphalt Labourers to join an established asphalt crew based out of Hazelmere, WA.

These are ongoing opportunities for experienced operators with a strong background in asphalt compaction who are looking for consistent work, competitive rates and the opportunity to move into permanent positions.
Pay Rates

• Level 2.1: $44.04/hr - Casual Ordinary Rate
• Level 2.2: $44.47/hr - Casual Ordinary Rate
• Level 3.1: $45.49/hr - Casual Ordinary Rate
• Overtime, nightshift, weekend and applicable penalty rates

About the Role
Working as part of an experienced asphalt crew, you will be responsible for operating rollers and assisting with asphalt laying and compaction across a variety of road and pavement projects.
Your duties will include:

• Operating rollers for asphalt compaction
• Achieving required compaction, levels and surface finishes
• Assisting with asphalt laying and general crew duties
• Operating Bobcats and other asphalt mobile plant where required
• Completing daily pre-starts and equipment checks
• Assisting with manual asphalt labouring when required
• Working closely with Paver Operators, Leading Hands and Foremen
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
• Working across day, night and weekend shifts as required

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within asphalt
• Previous experience as an Asphalt Roller Operator
• Strong experience in asphalt compaction - essential
• Roller Ticket - essential
• Bobcat Ticket - essential
• Truck Licence - essential
• Construction White Card
• Asphalt mobile plant experience
• Willingness to undertake asphalt labouring duties when required
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an asphalt crew
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and nightshift
• Ability to work away from home when required
