Asphalt Paver Operator

Unite Resourcing is currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join an established asphalt crew based out of Hazelmere, WA.

This is an ongoing opportunity for an experienced operator with a strong background in asphalt paving who is looking for consistent work, competitive rates and the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

Pay Rates(Based on experience) 

• Level 3.1: $45.49/hr - Casual Ordinary Rate
• Level 3.2: $47.20/hr - Casual Ordinary Rate
• Overtime, nightshift, weekend and applicable penalty rates

About the Role
Working as part of an experienced asphalt crew, you will be responsible for operating paving equipment and assisting with the safe and efficient delivery of asphalt works across a range of road and pavement projects.
Duties will include:

• Operating asphalt pavers safely and efficiently
• Setting up and preparing paving equipment for daily operations
• Assisting with asphalt laying and pavement works
• Monitoring paving operations to maintain required levels, thickness and quality
• Completing daily pre-starts and basic equipment checks
• Working alongside Foremen, Leading Hands and other asphalt crew members
• Operating other asphalt mobile plant where required
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
• Working across day, night and weekend shifts as required

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within asphalt
• Previous experience operating an Asphalt Paver
• MR Truck Licence - minimum
• Paver Ticket - Highly Desirable
• Bobcat Ticket - essential
• Roller Ticket - essential
• Construction White Card
• Previous asphalt mobile plant experience
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work effectively within an asphalt crew
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and nightshift
• Ability to work away from home when required
