QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12
  • Full N2 certificate with relevant trade theory
  • Applicable Engineering Aid Certificate

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in heavy industry, gained preferably in a furnace smelting operation
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure, Initiative
  • Knowledge of the HSEC system

JOB OBJECTIVES

In this role you will be reporting to the Artisan (Boilermaker) for the following:

  • Assistance in maintaining and repairing plant equipment and installing new equipment when required
  • Assistance in planned maintenance system inspection with artisan
  • Overtime will be worked when so required
  • Shift work can be expected during shutdowns
  • Standby work will be worked when so required
  • Adhering to safety rules and regulations. Ensuring proper shift take over
