About the Role
As an Area Manager, you will be accountable for the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of a major project area. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Work in accordance with our client's values and demonstrate leadership in HSE, client, people, and financial accountabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong client, supplier, and subcontractor relationships, proactively managing expectations and resolving issues.
- Lead by example to maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE procedures, risk management, training, and environmental requirements.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, commercial performance, subcontractors, procurement, and resource allocation to achieve project and financial targets.
- Develop and execute project plans, monitor progress against schedules, manage outages/shutdowns, and ensure alignment with the client's project management methodology and systems.
- Ensure all works meet quality, technical, contractual, and compliance requirements through inspections, reviews, audits, and corrective actions.
- Provide strong leadership, communication, reporting, mentoring, and performance management while promoting teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability across project teams.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering large-scale civil infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contracts, budgeting and risk management.
- Proven stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
- Current Driver's Licence
