About the Role

  • As a 1st year Apprentice based in Unanderra, NSW, you will work closely with experienced Tradespeople, Supervisors, and Managers to gain essential skills and knowledge in your chosen trade. Through a combination of hands-on training and TAFE NSW courses, you will work towards securing your trade qualification over a four-year apprenticeship. This role also presents opportunities for career progression into leadership and staffing roles in the future.
  • To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate motivation, a willingness to learn, teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to building a long-term career. While completing Year 10 or equivalent is required, a current driver's licence and completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship course are preferred but not essential. This position is ideal for individuals with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the Industrial Maintenance industry, with a projected commencement date in late January 2027.
  • This apprenticeship is designed to develop capabilities across the following streams:
    • Mechanical Trade
    • Fabrication Trade
    • Plumbing
    • HVAC
  • Programmed Energy & Resources offers a four-year apprenticeship with on-the-job training and TAFE NSW courses to support qualification attainment.

Requirements / What you need

  • Year 10 or equivalent is required.
  • A current driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship course is preferred but not essential.

Training & Progression

  • Four-year apprenticeship with hands-on training and TAFE NSW courses.
  • Opportunities for career progression into leadership and staffing roles in the future.
