About the Role

Our Transport & Infrastructure business is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team at Brisbane Airport as an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in the civil and road transport industry while completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship. This role will suit someone looking to gain hands-on experience working with heavy vehicles and mobile plant, while learning from experienced tradespeople in a supportive workshop environment.

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of heavy road transport vehicles, plant and equipment
• Work alongside experienced mechanics to develop your technical skills
• Support both workshop and field-based operations as required
• Participate in safety initiatives including toolbox talks and safety days
• Learn to operate and maintain a variety of heavy vehicles and mobile equipment

About You

• A strong willingness to learn and build a career in the mechanical trade
• Current Driver’s Licence
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and contributing to our Zero Harm culture
• Completion of Year 12 is desirable but not essential
• Adult apprentices are encouraged to apply
