Our 4-year Auto Electrician Apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience working with advanced electrical systems on some of the world’s most innovative heavy machinery, while completing a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (AUR30320).
You’ll learn from industry experts, train in world-class facilities, and be supported every step of the way.

About the qualification The AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology is a nationally recognised Australian qualification. It prepares individuals to diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems in a wide range of vehicles and mobile equipment.
This qualification develops skills in:
- Diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Testing and servicing batteries, starting and charging systems.
- Installing and maintaining lighting, wiring and accessory systems.
- Diagnosing faults in computer-controlled and electronic management systems.
- Interpreting technical information and using diagnostic equipment.
- Applying workplace health and safety procedures.
The role of an Automotive Electrician at Komatsu involves working on equipment such as earthmoving, construction and mining machinery. Holders of AUR30320 demonstrate strong diagnostic capability, technical expertise and attention to detail, making them well suited to workshop and field service roles within the heavy vehicle industries.
