Alternate Underground Manager

About the Role

• Reporting to the Underground Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture across the operation
• Aligning production activities with short and medium-term mine plans
• Reviewing and approving underground mine planning documentation
• Leading, coaching and developing Underground Mining Engineers and technical personnel
• Managing underground and surface projects, including contractor performance
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cost control processes
• Preparing and approving capital expenditure submissions
• Monitoring operational performance and reporting outcomes to senior leadership
• Acting as the Registered Manager when required
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as Alternate Underground Manager

About You

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering
• WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Strong underground hard rock mining experience
• Demonstrated experience in mine planning and production leadership
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence
