As our long-term, major operations and maintenance contract continues to grow, we are seeking an aircraft refueller to join our team at RAAF Richmond, NSW.

Whilst Defence and Fuel Industry experience may be advantageous, UGL’s training and development programs enable entry into the industry. Our training will equip you with the skills that enable you to perform your role safely. Training will include the opportunity to attend specialised interstate facilities at various times throughout your career with UGL combined with both onsite and offsite training locally.

About the Role

The Role

  • Support the Defence Fuel Network across Australia, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
  • Carry out before use inspections of refuelling vehicles, equipment, and documentation to ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct daily fuel quality checks in line with safe work procedures, (SWPs) to ensure fuel is free from water and contaminants.
  • Safely approach and refuel Australian and international military aircraft, establishing exclusion zones, bonding equipment, and observing all aviation safety requirements.
  • Complete all post refuelling documentation, including meter readings and customer sign‑off, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

About You / Requirements

We expect the successful applicants to have the following

  • Self-starter and team player capabilities along with dedication to the vital role we perform in supporting our Defence Force to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL.
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at UGL and we would expect that it is also at the forefront of everything you do as well.
  • A valid HC Drivers Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence essential
  • Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded
  • Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team
  • Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances
