The Role

SRG are seeking certified AICIP Inspectors for upcoming shutdowns across the East Coast of Australia at various Power stations. Opportunity for ongoing work and career development for the right candidates.

Your role as an AICIP / API Inspector (Shutdown) will see you working in a large NDT, Metallurgy and Engineering team within our Power Services division across various Power Station Major outages within the Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley on a casual basis. This role is key to the ongoing asset integrity inspection services provided to our key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing in-service inspection of pressure equipment including boilers, pressure vessels, pressure piping, storage tanks and associated equipment as per the applicable code and client requirements
  • Preparing inspection work scopes including any NDT required, review the equipment history and review all findings
  • Preparing reports for the inspections performed on such equipment to the applicable code and client requirements
  • Performing inspections and quality reviews as required by the applicable code and client requirements for pressure equipment including boilers, pressure vessels, pressure piping, storage tanks and associated equipment

About You / Requirements

  • AICIP (preferred) or API 510 certification (minimum)
  • API 653 (highly desirable)
  • NDT certifications (AINDT)
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and standards associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems, plant and equipment
  • Working knowledge and experience in relevant industry (mining refinery resources) with exposure to heavy industrial/process/mining plant
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen
