About the Role

Under the responsibility of the Superintendent of your sector, you will primarily be responsible for supervising a production team operating in a heavy metallurgical industrial environment and a unionised setting, to meet business objectives. To do this, you will need to ensure optimal process operation efficiency, but also product quality. You will be required to support and promote the implementation of the best plant reliability techniques, in order to use resources optimally.

While ensuring and prioritising the safety of your staff, you will have the ability and responsibility to promote a working climate conducive to achieving objectives in health and safety, efficiency, quality control and customer satisfaction. As a production supervisor, you will foster the development and mobilisation of your team to reach its full potential and you will ensure the application of policies and procedures in force.

You will be required to work on 8- or 12-hour rotating shifts.

Profile sought

• DEC in metallurgy or equivalent, or other relevant training (Relevant experience in team management, in heavy industry or metallurgical industry will be considered);
• Training in personnel management or leadership;
• Experience in managing production teams.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and prioritise communication and teamwork;
• Show autonomy, good work organisation and prioritisation;
• Put health and safety, and that of your colleagues, first.
