Your impact

As an Advisor, Parts you will play a key role in supporting the reliability and performance of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet at Boddington Gold Mine. By providing technical advice on parts selection, refurbishment, and inventory optimisation, you will help ensure the right components are available at the right time to support maintenance activities. Your work will contribute to improved asset reliability, reduced equipment downtime, and efficient inventory management across the operation.

As part of our team you will

  • Provide technical advice and support to maintenance teams regarding HME components, refurbishment options, and repair strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with major component reusability and salvage repair guidelines in line with industry best practice.
  • Optimise repairable spares inventory to meet operational requirements while managing cost and availability.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to maintain accurate inventory and catalogue data within SAP.
  • Monitor and analyse inventory levels, usage trends, and demand forecasting to support efficient warehouse operations.
  • Support maintenance planning and scheduling teams by ensuring critical parts and materials are available for work execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, and lead times through improved parts management and supplier engagement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support fleet performance and operational efficiency.
  • Promote strong safety practices and ensure compliance with Newmont standards and site procedures.

Prerequisites for your success in the role

  • Demonstrated experience in a parts, inventory, or supply role, ideally within mining, heavy mobile equipment, or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
  • Experience working with SAP inventory or materials management systems.
  • Knowledge of spare parts management, repairable components, and lifecycle planning for heavy equipment.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams.
  • A trade qualification, diploma in parts/materials management, or similar discipline is advantageous but not essential.

Your work environment

This is a site-based role at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Mine, operating on a 7/7 roster, providing excellent work–life balance. Village accommodation is provided while on site. You will be part of a collaborative and safety-focused Asset Management team, supporting the performance and reliability of one of Australia’s largest gold mining operations.
