About the role
We are looking for an Advisor Mechanical to join our Resource Development Compliance team and drive the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the mechanical compliance framework that underpins RTIO Resource Development mobile equipment standards.
This is a great opportunity for a technically credible, safety-focused mechanical professional to provide governance and assurance across contractor-owned drilling and mobile equipment.
This is an autonomous, field-facing 8/6 days-only roster, with regular travel across Pilbara operations and occasional engagement in Perth with contractor partners and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Superintendent Compliance and working within a collaborative, operationally focused compliance team, you will:

Provide governance and oversight to ensure mobile equipment is mobilised and maintained in line with RTIO standards and critical risk controls

- Provide governance and oversight to ensure mobile equipment is mobilised and maintained in line with RTIO standards and critical risk controls
- Verify contractor compliance through inspections, assurance activities and performance monitoring
- Identify recurring or systemic compliance gaps and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement
- Partner closely with contractors to reinforce clear expectations and accountability
- Collaborate with Contractor Management Advisors to support effective equipment mobilisation and compliance monitoring
- Work with Maintenance Planning and Engineering teams to ensure alignment with equipment standards and governance requirements
About you
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Trade-qualified (Mechanical or Diesel Fitting) or degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer, with strong technical credibility in drilling or mobile equipment environments
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within drilling or mobile equipment roles, including exposure to compliance, standards, risk management or equipment governance
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with the ability to assess risk, defects and contractor rectification against required standards
- High attention to detail with well-developed analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills
- Confident communicator, able to engage and influence contractors and internal stakeholders
