About the Role

As a Contracts Advisor, you will support the end-to-end execution of tenders and administration of contracts across assigned categories, working closely with operational, project and commercial stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of goods and services.

This role plays a key part in ensuring sourcing activities are delivered in line with governance requirements, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the timely delivery of procurement outcomes. You will contribute to tendering, negotiation support, contract execution and ongoing contract management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of tender and sourcing activities in line with procurement policies and governance requirements
  • Assist with contract preparation, negotiation and administration to achieve commercially sound outcomes
  • Maintain contract documentation, registers and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor pricing trends and escalate risks or issues as required
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Contribute to sourcing strategies within assigned categories
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and contracting processes
  • Manage workload to meet procurement timelines and deliverables while maintaining strong attention to detail

About You / Requirements

You are a developing contracts or procurement professional with a strong attention to detail and a structured approach to managing contract and tender processes. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting operational and project teams while ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Approximately 2–3 years’ experience in contracts administration, procurement or a related commercial role
  • Experience supporting tendering, contract preparation and supplier engagement activities
  • Working knowledge of procurement principles, contract lifecycle management and governance frameworks
  • Experience using ERP procurement systems such as SAP MM or Coupa
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with operational and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and reporting
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Experience in mining, resources or heavy industry environments is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Law or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
