About Tanami

Tanami is one of Australia’s most remote gold mining operations, located in the Northern Territory approximately 270km from Yuendumu. The mine and plant are located on Aboriginal freehold land that is owned by the Warlpiri people and managed on their behalf by the Central Desert Aboriginal Lands Trust.

It is a fly-in, fly-out operation with a strong focus on safety, reliability and delivering a consistent experience for a large on-site workforce in a challenging environment.

Your impact
Reporting to the Site Supply Lead, the Advisor, Contract Management will play a key role in a newly established site-based Supply Chain and Commercial team at Tanami.

Acting as the commercial interface between operations, suppliers and the broader Supply Chain function, you will manage contracts across their lifecycle, support contractor management activities and provide day-to-day commercial support to site stakeholders.

This is an opportunity to be more than a contract administrator. You'll work closely with operational leaders, identify improvement opportunities, support sourcing initiatives and help shape how commercial support is delivered across site.

As part of our team you will

  • Manage operational and sustaining capital contracts from sourcing through to contract execution and management.
  • Support contractor management activities across Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Act as a key point of contact for supplier and contract-related queries from site stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams and site leadership.
  • Support sourcing initiatives and category strategies.
  • Assist with supplier performance management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and contractor performance.
  • Support contract governance, compliance and issue resolution activities.
  • Work closely with warehouse, operations and shared services teams to support site requirements.
  • Contribute to commercial improvement initiatives and strategic projects across the operation.

Prerequisites for your success in the role

  • Experience in contract management, procurement, commercial, supply chain or related disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently within an operational environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance operational priorities and business outcomes.
  • Intermediate Excel capability and confidence working across multiple systems.
  • Exposure to ERP, procurement or contract management platforms (Ariba experience highly regarded).
  • Experience within mining, resources, construction, energy, logistics or other operational industries will be highly regarded.

Your work environmentThis position is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth, Brisbane or Darwin.
