Newmont APAC Operations are located in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, New South Wales and Papua New Guinea, with roles in operations, projects, corporate support and exploration.  APAC Business Unit Support is provided from our offices in Brisbane, Subiaco and Melbourne.

Dimensions

We’re looking for a detail-driven and proactive Advisor – Bulks, Fixed Plant and Process to support the safe, compliant, and efficient management of hydrocarbon systems across site operations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in monitoring all assigned category management strategies in the Bulks, Fixed Plant and Process space, handling, driving improvements, and ensuring best practice across the business.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Fixed Plant, Bulks & Process, you will coordinate and oversee the management of several category management strategies, including the drafting and execution of new Strategies,  day to day administration and management of existing Category Management strategies ensuring compliance with contracts while identifying opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with site-based operations, maintenance and project teams to support contractor engagement and commercial outcomes
  • Lead and support end-to-end sourcing activities including tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
  • Provide guidance on scope development, onboarding processes, and contractor relationship management
  • Manage contracts across their full lifecycle, including variations, renewals, extensions, claims, and dispute resolution
  • Maintain accurate contract registers, documentation, and correspondence across systems such as SAP and ARIBA
  • Monitor supplier performance against safety obligations, KPIs and SLAs
  • Development, execution and miniatous of existing as well as new Regional Category Management Strategies assigned to you
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and contracting standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uplift commercial capability across site
