About the Role
We're looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to join our Blackwater Workshop on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a varied role providing essential administrative support across the site while ensuring the office runs efficiently day-to-day.
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and workshop leadership team, you'll play a key role supporting employees, contractors and visitors while coordinating a range of administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception, greet visitors and complete site sign-in and induction processes
- Perform data entry, filing, document control and record management
- Coordinate office supplies, inventory, petty cash and purchase requisitions
- Arrange office maintenance and cleaning services
- Prepare routine reports and provide administrative support to the Maintenance Manager and wider team
- Coordinate contractor documentation and maintain compliance records
- Maintain accurate employee records, crew lists and site rosters
- Coordinate onboarding documentation and induction requirements for new employees and labour hire personnel
- Arrange accommodation bookings for employees, contractors and visitors
- Assist with purchasing, requisitions and general office administration
About You
You'll be an organised administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
You'll also have:
- Previous administration experience (mining, construction or heavy industry highly regarded)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- A high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
- Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence
