Kick‑Start Your Career as a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice
- You’ll receive high‑quality training that combines real on‑the‑job experience with classroom learning, giving you the skills and confidence to complete your nationally recognised trade qualification.
- Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll get hands‑on experience working with the essential machinery that keeps the entire Process Plant and Site Infrastructure running.
- You’ll learn how to maintain and service equipment like pumps, conveyors, pulleys, rollers, crushers, and even massive ball mills.
- Every day brings something different — one moment you might be diagnosing a fault in a conveyor system, and the next you’re helping keep a crusher operating smoothly.
- It’s the kind of practical, real‑world learning that builds confidence, skill, and a strong foundation for your future as a Mechanical Fitter.
- The program begins in February 2027, with varied rosters across the 4 years.
Who We’re Looking For
- Hold a C‑class driver’s licence (provisional accepted).
- Ideally have completed a pre‑apprenticeship. (highly regarded but not essential)
- Have a genuine interest in fixed plant maintenance.
- Be enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn.
