Job Description

About the Role

  • 12-week hands-on experience at some of Australia’s leading gold and copper mining operations.
  • Part of Newmont’s award-winning Vacation Program, a key pathway into the Graduate Program.
  • Start date: 23 November 2026.
  • Focus: Mine Surveying.

Program Locations

  • Tanami (NT) – located approximately 540 km northwest of Alice Springs on Aboriginal freehold land, Tanami offers an 8:6 fly-in fly-out (FIFO) experience. You'll stay at a well-equipped camp just 40 km from site. Please note: Tanami applicants must be able to fly from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs, or Darwin only.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • You must be studying a university degree; TAFE qualifications are not accepted.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • We are unable to offer visa sponsorship or support applications from individuals on student visas at this time.
