Our client is looking for an experienced Water Resources Engineer Join a leading Australian resources organisation delivering major mining and infrastructure projects across a large-scale operational portfolio.
Roster: 5/2 - Perth CBD Location
Start date: June 2026
Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $95.00 p/h
Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to provide technical expertise across hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood-risk assessment, and water management infrastructure design. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support both operational mine sites and major project developments.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver hydrological and hydraulic assessments for mining and infrastructure projects
- Complete flood modelling, flood-risk assessments, and stormwater management studies
- Design surface water infrastructure including diversions, culverts, floodways, and drainage systems
- Analyse rainfall, catchment, and hydrology data to support technical investigations
- Provide technical guidance to engineering, environmental, approvals, and project teams
- Prepare technical reports, scopes of work, specifications, and design documentation
- Support water approvals and regulatory compliance activities
The ideal candidate will hold the following**:**
- Degree qualifications in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 8+ years' experience in water resources engineering
- Strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling
- Experience with GIS, RoRB, TUFLOW, and HEC-RAS
- Exposure to mining, infrastructure, consulting, or complex project environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
- Full Australian working rights
