Trainer Site Operations - Bellevue

Barminco

Australia

Job Description

Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia's Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia's highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site's power requirements through renewable energy sources.

In this role, you will drive the delivery and continuous improvement of structured training and assessment at site level — ensuring workforce competence, compliance, and capability development are aligned with Barminco's Training Management Plan, Training Strategy, and client requirements.

About the Role

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Trainer Site Operations professionals to join the HSE&T team on a full-time basis (8/6 FIFO Roster from Perth). Reporting to the HSE&T Superintendent, this role is integral to shaping workforce development outcomes by embedding standardised training practices, providing guidance to mentors, and contributing to a data-informed, safety-driven learning culture at the Bellevue Gold Mine.

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

  • Drive the effective implementation of Barminco's training management systems on site.
  • Conduct and facilitate structured training of operational personnel through practical guidance, on-the-job mentoring, and delivery of standardised training packages accessed via the Training Hub, ensuring content consistency and version control.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to Crew Mentors and SMEs on site, ensuring consistent delivery of peer-to-peer training and effective knowledge transfer in accordance with Barminco standards.
  • Actively support workforce development by utilising the training pipeline to coordinate upskilling pathways for operators in line with professional development plans, role progression frameworks, and site-level succession planning.
  • Complete practical on-the-job assessments for all competencies across operational departments, ensuring assessment practices are consistent, fair, and aligned with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable training records using INX InTuition, INX LMS, and the Assessor App. Utilise PowerBI training dashboards to monitor compliance, identify competency gaps, and inform training priorities in alignment with site Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
  • Assist HSET Coordinators where required to facilitate new starter arrivals, on-site inductions, and underground tours, ensuring the entry-level new starter program is adhered to and relevant documentation is completed and stored.
  • Be proactive in the field identifying hazards and risks with suggested mitigation controls in the workplace.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of training programs by providing structured feedback from field delivery to central training teams, identifying opportunities to enhance content, delivery methods, and learner outcomes.
